Our first two daughter & Dad Game Night for a while!
A Right Comedy of Errors!
We managed to get my eldest back into co-op gaming, it's been a while but it was great to have Team Beaty at full strength once again. However, I forget that a rule of multiplayer online gaming is: The more players you add the more chances there are of technical problems on the night! 😆
In Kayleigh's case the technical hic-up came in the form of voice comms...Her headset was bust (and, amazingly, she doesn't have any speakers)! 😶
We fudged the comms by using SKYPE to do a team call between the three of us via K's mobile phone and Stace and I via the Skype desktop app. The quality was OK-is but the main problem was that the video recording didn't include our dialogue, I used Skype's own recording facility to capture that... But then, that meant I had to edit both files together to get the following video clip...
What a fiasco! 😂
It wasn't all that shambolic however, and we did managed to complete a few missions. As you can see, we all had a lot of fun and it was great to all be bad gaming together again. Hopefully it will be a more regular occurrence (IF Kayleigh's rickety old PC is up for it - we were surprised she actually managed to run State of Decay 2)!
For the next time Kayleigh has got a new gaming headset, so the quality of the audio should be better in the future...
